Appointments - Concessions - Cancellations :-
I am willing to negotiate a concession with anyone who has genuine need.
These terms are set out for those new to my practice.
If you wish to make an appointment more than 9 days ahead ( INCLUDING WEEKENDS ) and do not come with a named recommendation, I may ask you to send payment for an hour in advance to confirm serious intent.
THOSE CARING FOR CHILDREN can expect some latitude for illness or other unexpected emergencies with children.
THOSE AT WORK - If this is likely to create difficulty in keeping appointments - please make this clear at the outset - so we have CLEAR UNDERSTANDING and make proper arrangements.
CANCELLATION : - PLEASE DO NOT SEEK TO RE-ARRANGE OR CANCEL BY EMAIL WITH LESS THAN 5 WORKING DAYS NOTICE
Illness or injury incurs a part fee or zero penalty at my discretion.
CANCELLATION 3 OR 4 WORKING DAYS BEFORE THE DUE DATE
You may be asked to pay a 50% fee for the cancelled session - at my discretion.
( Friday and Monday are regarded as adjacent working days. An appointment for Monday cancelled on Friday is effectively cancelled the previous working day. )
CANCELLATION ON THE DAY OR ON THE PREVIOUS WORKING DAY - You will be expected to pay the full fee - if we have no other understanding.
Where we have a clear understanding - provided the re-arranged appointment is kept - you will be asked to pay an agreed reduced fee for the prior cancellation. Otherwise you will be expected to pay the full fee for both appointments.
RE-ARRANGING AN APPOINTMENT : -
Re-arrangement can only happen once. A second attempt is treated as a prior cancellation. You will be expected to pay the full cancellation fee.
If you seek to re-arrange your appointment with MORE THAN FOUR WORKING DAYS NOTICE - there will usually be no additional charge.
If an appointment is made 9 calendar days or more before its due date - I require FIVE DAYS NOTICE OF CANCELLATION. Re-arrangement may then require the fee to be paid in advance.
If you wish to re-arrange any appointment with a delay of 8 or more days you will have the choice of paying for a cancellation or making advance payment.
If you prove unreliable I will ask for payment in advance and keep any fee should you seek to cancel again and I will suggest you find another therapist.
